Release notes
What changed, and when.
Every release of taleor is listed here with its date, what changed, and the platforms it runs on. Each installer comes with its SHA-256 checksum, so you can check that the file you downloaded is the file we published.
taleor 1.0, 30 October 2026
- Exhibits and screens: create an exhibit from a template, connect a screen with a six-digit code, and see each screen's status in the console.
- Reels and playlists: a reel is an ordered set of media with playback settings, and each screen plays its own playlist of reels.
- Triggers and sensors: touch, buttons, presence, distance and RFID switch a screen to another reel in the same moment.
- The browser player, with nothing to install, and the taleor player apps for macOS, Windows and Linux.
- 3D models in the media library, which a visitor can turn on the screen.
- Google Drive (early access): keep your media on your own Google Drive.
- Oli, the assistant: say what should happen, review the proposed changes, then apply them.
- Seven console languages: English, German, Dutch, Polish, French, Spanish and Italian.
- Emergency broadcast: hold one control, and every screen in scope shows the message while exhibit sound goes quiet.
- A demo venue to explore after you sign in.
Platforms: Player apps for macOS, Windows and Linux. The browser player runs in any current browser, including on Android and Raspberry Pi.
How to check a download
Compare the checksum of your file with the one listed next to the installer. On Windows, open PowerShell and run Get-FileHash <file>. On macOS or Linux, open a terminal and run shasum -a 256 <file>. The two values must match exactly.
